boiled peanuts ~ little snack
May 20, 2011 § 5 Comments
i bought a little bag of these when i was in kauai. my mom used to make them when i was growing up and they’re a cinch to make! i find that the peanuts in their original form tend to be a bit dry, so by boiling them, they come out much easier to eat. their taste reminds me somewhat of edamame and make for a very satisfying, toothsome bite.
• bag of shelled peanuts
• sea salt
add salt to boiling water and boil peanuts for about 30 minutes. drain and pat dry to remove any excess moisture from the peanut shells. store in an open container in the refrigerator. enjoy!
