fresh juice

i must admit that i have not juiced in quite some time. most mornings i like to keep things real easy and not have to lug out this ample-sized contraption of mine. but because i ate my fair share of fried foods and not nearly enough leafy greens throughout most of the cross-country move, i felt that some fresh juice was long over due and very much needed.

the benefits of juicing are infinite, but the major one is that it gives our digestive systems a break. we are able to absorb the healthy nutrients of the fruits and vegetables instantaneously and more efficiently without having to break down the fiber. the result is a quick and natural energy boost. it is best that the potion be ingested immediately as the nutritional benefits are optimal at this time. to learn more about juicing visit this lovely source.

ingredients: {1 (8-ounce) serving}
• 1 large carrot
• 1 small beet
• small chunk of raw ginger root
• 2 rainbow chard leaves
• 1/2 golden delicious apple

to do: make sure to read instructions carefully when administering the juicing process. drink vegetable potion immediately to ensure optimal nutritional benefits. enjoy!
*extra tip: i like to freeze the unused pulp and use it in cooked dishes like meatloaf or even pastas.
