white chocolate chip cookie bars

these baked goods are for when you’re feeling a bit on the lazier side and don’t fancy scooping and dropping pieces of dough onto cookie sheets. oh, and i didn’t have semi-sweet chocolate chips so white chocolate chips were used. improvisation it’s all about, improvisation.

• 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 3/4 cup granulated sugar
• 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 eggs
• 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
• 1 cup chopped salted peanuts {optional}

1. preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. grease a 9×13 inch baking sheet
3. combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl.
beat butter, both sugars and vanilla in a large mixing bowl.
4. add eggs one at a time, beating well.
5. gradually beat flour mixture into the butter mixture.
6. fold in the chocolate chips and nuts.
7. spread into the prepared baking pan.
8. bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
